Firstly, some good news, Dean Ashton has returned to training after a slight hamstring strain that saw him miss the Milwall match. The U-21 international will be fit for Saturday's game at Warsaw'll.
Even better news...
Justin Cochrane and David Vaughan will return for the away game at Bradford City. Vaughany, the Welsh Wizard, has been out since the end of November. A knee injury initially kept him out before that knee injury turned into a knee operation. Justin has been out for the past three weeks with a hamstring pull.
Both are to come back training and return for the Bradford trip.
But wait, we have even better news!
David Brammer, remember him?, is back in light training after his groin/pelvis farce. It all started in 2002 where he pulled his groin vs Everton. He's been in out with the injury till this season when he was threatened with a extra long lay off if he didn't have the operation. Having only played 45 minutes since the end of September Brams had the operation over the christmas period, and today returns to light training.
Brammer will be taking it easy in training for the next week, or so, so he builds up his strength, I suppose. It's then a matter of time before he feels he's fit enough to play again.... and sign a new contract(Go on Brammer, it'll be worth it)!
Unfortunately, there's a catch.
Allan Smart will be having a small operation on his knee which has kept him in and out of the team all season, that's when he actually gets a chance. The operation is only small and Smart should return by March.
