The Shakers leading scorer was subject to a bid in August but Bury slapped a £400k price on his head. Since then Bishop signed a new contract but with the dismisal of Chris Casper it is believed a new offer has been tabled for the 25-year-old.
Last season the former York striker netted 21 times for the Shakers and so far has netted 11 times although injury did hit the player earlier on in the season.
