During his time at Sincil Bank 21-year-old O'Connor made 10 appearances netting one goal.

The Northern Ireland international was sent on loan after a fall out with manager Gudjon Thordarson after the player showed lack of discipline on and off the pitch.

The loan move prompted Occy to publicly say that he would not play for the Railwaymen while Thordarson was in charge of the club.

The player is due to discuss his long term future with the club chairman and manager with the player already contracted at the club until 2010.

O'Connor will not be in the squad for this weekends vital clash against Cheltenham Town due to him being suspended for two games as he has picked up ten yellow cards this season.

O'Connor would be available for Crewe's final game of the season at home to Leicester City on Saturday 2nd May.
