The star, who is out of contract at Man Utd next month, has made several saves that could easily contend for save of the season with his most memorable one coming last week against Sunderland when Kevin Kyle had all but scored from a chip only for Super Ben to dive backwards and tip the ball over.
You could say he's kept us in the division and there won't be a Alex fan in the world who'll be happy to see him play his last Alex game on Sunday but Neil Baker, Dario's assistant, will hopefully make sure it's not his last Alex game - and just one of many more to come.
Baker told the official site that he and Dario will be pulling out all stops to try and get Ben Williams to sign for Crewe when his contract runs out in the summer. Ben has already hinted he wishes to play in the Premiership and if any team goes off his displays with Crewe then will he have his dream?
At 21 Williams is extremely young for a keeper and Baker will hope that he can convince Williams that a move to the Alex can be a simple stepping stone for his career.
"We have spoken to Ben about his future and we are trying very hard to keep him at this club,"
"We would like him to stay here not just for next season, but for the next few seasons."
Baker told CreweAlex.net. So go on Williams; stay with us.
